Honestly, weight loss is not just about food, it's also about your mental state. I used to starve myself thinking it would help, but it only made me miserable and I'd binge later. Focus on nourishing your body with healthy, filling meals like daal, sabzi, and whole grains, and also, be kind to yourself through the journey.

See, everyone's body is different, what works for one might not work for another. I go to Apollo for my checkups, and the docs there always say it's best to consult a dietician or your GP before making big changes. They can give you a personalized plan based on your health history. Don't just follow random advice online.

I'm also trying to figure this out, it feels so confusing with so much information everywhere. I try to eat more salad and less fried stuff. But what about rice? Is white rice okay, or only brown rice is good for weight loss? Any tips on that?

Healthy foods for weight loss? Haha, basically anything that isn't a samosa or a full plate of butter chicken every day! Kidding aside, lots of veggies, fruits, and lean protein really help. Just remember, a balanced diet means sometimes you still get to have that one small gulab jamun, just maybe not the whole box!

Eating fresh, home-cooked food is always a good idea. Include lots of green vegetables and fruits. Also, try to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Small changes can make a big difference over time. Be patient with yourself.

For me, managing my diabetes means I have to be very careful with what I eat, especially carbs and sugar. So, I focus on whole grains like jowar and bajra, lots of vegetables, and good quality protein. It helps with blood sugar control and also managing weight. Always check labels, even for 'healthy' snacks.
