How to get in a calorie deficit for weight loss?

My doctor told me I need to lose some weight for my knee pain. I've heard about calorie deficit but I'm a bit confused on how to actually do it properly without feeling too hungry all the time. Can someone guide me?

For a calorie deficit, the simplest way is to track what you eat for a few days to understand your current intake. Then, aim to reduce it by 300-500 calories. Focus on reducing junk food and sugary drinks, and increase protein and fiber to feel full. Consistency is key, even with a busy schedule.

From my own experience, tracking my food intake with an app really helped me see where the extra calories were coming from. I didn't even realize how much I was eating! Once I knew my baseline, cutting back on portion sizes and swapping sugary drinks for water created that deficit for me. No fancy diet, just awareness.

Yes, tracking your calories and making small changes to eat less is very effective. It really works.

Beta, for weight loss, simple hai. Khaana thoda kam khao, aur ghar ka bana hua khao. Bahar ke tel wale cheezein aur meetha chhod do. Aur roz thoda chalna phirna karo. Jab kam khaoge aur zyada chaloge toh apne aap hi calorie deficit ho jayega. Mann saaf rakho aur mehnat karo, sab theek hoga.

To achieve a calorie deficit, it's mostly about eating less than your body burns. My grandmother always said, 'Eat simply, live healthily.' Focus on homemade food, reduce oil and sugar, and walk daily. If you want more precision, use an app to track your food for a bit. But listen to your body, and if in doubt, a doctor or dietitian is best.
