Will weight loss get rid of double chin?

I've always been conscious of my double chin, even when I'm not overweight. I'm starting a weight loss journey, hoping it helps my overall appearance. Will losing weight actually get rid of a double chin, or is it more about genetics?

Often, yes, losing overall body fat can definitely help reduce a double chin! It depends on genetics too, but for many, when the face and neck slim down, the double chin becomes less prominent. Be patient and consistent with your efforts.

Weight loss can significantly improve the appearance of a double chin, especially if it's due to excess fat. However, sometimes skin elasticity or genetics play a role. If you lose weight and it's still there, you can consider other options, but start with healthy weight management.

I used to panic so much about my double chin, thought it was permanent! But honestly, after I started eating better and exercising regularly, it reduced a lot. It might not disappear completely if it's genetic, but it definitely gets better. Don't worry too much!

Haan yaar, for most people, double chin is just extra fat only. So if you lose weight, it will reduce. But genetics also play a role, so don't expect it to vanish like magic for everyone. Still, overall weight loss is a good start, actually.

While weight loss often helps, sometimes what looks like a double chin could be related to other things like thyroid issues. So, before you start on a major weight loss journey, maybe just get a general health check-up once to be sure everything is okay.
