Will low vitamin'd cause weight gain?

I've noticed I'm gaining weight even though my diet hasn't changed much. My vitamin D levels were a bit low last time I checked. Can low vitamin D actually contribute to weight gain?

From my experience, when my vitamin D was really low, I felt super tired all the time, which made me less active. I didn't necessarily gain weight from the vitamin D itself, but being inactive definitely didn't help my weight. So, indirectly, maybe.

Hey! So glad you asked this! 😊 Yes, there's actually a link between low Vitamin D and difficulty losing weight, or even weight gain. It can affect your metabolism and mood. So soak up some sun or talk to your doc about supplements! ☀️

Haan beta, our elders always said get good sun. Now docs also say, if Vitamin D is less, body feels weak, na? Then we don't feel like doing much work, so thoda motapa aa jaata hai. Take sun, eat good food, ask doc if you need medicine.

In my yoga practice, we focus on overall balance. Low Vitamin D can affect energy levels and mood, making one less inclined to be active. This inertia can certainly contribute to weight gain. Regular exposure to morning sun and a balanced diet, alongside mindful movement, supports better health.

Don't worry too much, but it's good to be aware. There's a connection between low Vitamin D and weight gain, mostly because it can mess with your metabolism and make you feel low on energy. Just make sure to get your levels checked and follow what the doctor says, okay?

Yes, it absolutely can. My sister struggled with this; her low Vitamin D made her constantly tired and she found it very hard to lose weight. Don't underestimate its importance. If you suspect low Vitamin D, please get tested by a doctor and follow their advice for supplementation. It's not something to self-diagnose.

Yaar, actually, my doc told me that low Vitamin D can make you feel super lethargic and slow down metabolism. So, indirectly, yeah, it can contribute to weight gain. It's not just about bones, it's a whole body thing. So important to get your levels checked!
