Why does weight loss make you cold?

I've been on a weight loss journey for the past few months, and I've lost quite a bit of weight. However, I've noticed that I feel cold much more easily now, even in mild weather. Why does losing weight make you feel colder?

Oh, I've noticed this too when I started losing weight. I feel cold much more easily now. Is it because we lose some of the fat layer that keeps us warm? I was wondering if it's a normal thing.

Feeling cold after weight loss is a known effect, but persistent or extreme coldness could indicate something else. It's always best to get a check-up from your doctor to ensure everything is alright and rule out any underlying issues. Don't take chances with your health.

Oh my god, same! After losing some weight, I'm always reaching for a cardigan. It's like my body lost its natural insulation. Keep yourself warm with layers and make sure you're eating enough nutrient-dense food, not just cutting calories drastically.

Yes, feeling colder is quite common during weight loss. When you lose fat, you lose a layer of insulation, and your metabolism might slow down a bit to conserve energy. However, it's really important to ensure your weight loss journey is healthy and balanced. If you're feeling excessively cold or have other symptoms, please talk to your doctor, especially if you have conditions like PCOS which can affect metabolism.

It can be quite frustrating, can't it? You work hard to lose weight, and then you're just constantly cold. It made me feel so weak sometimes. Just know that it's a common side effect and your body is adjusting.

I can totally relate! When I lost a lot of weight, I was always freezing. I tried wearing extra layers, drinking warm teas, and even warm baths. It does get better eventually once your body adjusts. Just make sure your diet is balanced and you're getting enough iron.

I had a friend who lost weight too quickly and developed some issues because of nutrient deficiencies and metabolic changes. Feeling cold can be a symptom of a few things. It's always safer to consult your doctor to ensure your weight loss is healthy and you're not missing any essential nutrients.

It's true, you lose that insulation! Just make sure your weight loss isn't too rapid, that can cause more issues. Also, keep track of what you're eating; sometimes vitamin deficiencies can make you feel colder. Don't rush into expensive tests unless your doctor advises, but do get regular checkups.

Ho na! Yeh toh normal hai. Jab fat kam hota hai, body ko thand zyada lagti hai. Bas garam kapde pehno aur thoda garam garam khana khao. Achhe se dhyan rakho.

Yep, less body fat means less insulation. Your body's metabolism might also slow down a bit. Keep up with your exercise, that helps generate some body heat and keeps your metabolism active. Just make sure you're getting enough calories and nutrients to fuel your body properly.
