Why baby body is hot but no fever?

My 6-month-old baby sometimes feels really warm to touch, especially his head and back, but when I check his temperature, it's always normal. Why does his body feel hot if there's no fever?

It's quite common for babies to feel warm without actually having a fever. Their temperature regulation is still developing. If the baby is otherwise active and happy, it's usually fine. But always trust your gut feeling as a parent.

Babies have sensitive systems. Sometimes, it could be simply that they are overdressed, or the room is a bit warm. Ensuring they are not too bundled up and getting proper, easy-to-digest food (if they are on solids) can help. Always check their temperature with a thermometer if you are worried, and consult your pediatrician.

Dude, my little nephew is like that sometimes. My sister always says his body runs hotter than ours. It's usually if he's been playing a lot or if she's put too many layers on him. A quick temp check and seeing if he's otherwise fine usually calms her down. But if something feels off, straight to the doctor.

Their little bodies are still learning to regulate temperature, kinda like how an athlete warms up quickly. They can get warm easily if overdressed or after playing. Just ensure they're hydrated and not too bundled. If you're really concerned, a quick check with a thermometer and a call to the doc is always best.

With babies, temperature regulation can be different. While often it's just being overdressed, I always advise parents to be vigilant. Just like with thyroid, where symptoms can be vague, it's best to rule out anything serious. A proper thermometer reading and pediatrician's advice are a must if you're ever worried.

Oh, I totally get this! My little cousin brother always feels so warm, even when his temperature is normal. My aunt says babies can't regulate their body heat like adults, so they get warm easily if they're too bundled or active. Just keep an eye on them and make sure they're comfortable, and use a thermometer to be sure.
