Where does weight loss go?

I've been trying to lose weight for a while now, and I've heard people say 'weight loss goes here or there'. But scientifically, where does the lost weight actually go from the body?

Actually, when you lose weight, a lot of the fat is converted to carbon dioxide and water, which you then breathe out or excrete. As someone with thyroid issues, I know how complex metabolism is. Make sure you're losing weight healthily and consult your doctor for personalized advice, especially if you have underlying conditions.

Beta, when you lose weight, the fat is broken down for energy. Mostly it leaves your body as carbon dioxide through breathing, and some as water through sweat and urine. It's a natural process. Just focus on healthy eating and exercise, the rest will follow.

When you burn fat, the majority of the mass is exhaled as carbon dioxide, and the rest is converted into water and expelled. This is why a good, balanced diet, even vegetarian, is crucial, coupled with exercise. It's all about energy balance and cellular processes.

I totally get why you'd wonder about this! It feels like a magic trick sometimes. But nope, it's science: your body converts the fat to CO2 and water, which then exits through breathing, sweat, and urine. So keep breathing, keep moving!

That's a really interesting question! So it's mostly breathed out? I always wondered if it just... disappeared. Does anyone else feel like their body just feels generally 'lighter' all over when they lose weight, not just in specific spots?

Oh, this is a fun one! So, basically, your fat turns into carbon dioxide and water. So, you're literally exhaling your weight away! Makes me feel a little better about that extra samosa, knowing my breath might handle it eventually, lol. But serious weight loss needs discipline!

From my experience, understanding this helps a lot with motivation. The fat metabolizes into carbon dioxide (which you exhale) and water (which you excrete). So effective weight loss isn't just about diet, but also about movement and breathing. Stay consistent, it works!

Bhai, it mostly leaves your body as CO2 when you breathe out. Thoda water bhi nikalta hai. I mean, when I work out and lose weight, I just feel lighter, never really thought about where it 'goes' literally. Just know it's gone!

Oh, I've actually read about this! It's wild, but most of it literally leaves your body through your breath as carbon dioxide. And some as water. It's not like it just magically vanishes. It's good to understand these things, makes the whole process feel more logical, right?
