When to take amino acids for weight loss?

I've started working out and want to lose some weight. My gym trainer suggested adding amino acids. Should I take them before, during, or after my workout for weight loss?

Amino acids for weight loss? Haha, I wish it was that simple! For me, controlling my cravings for all those yummy golgappas and chaat is the real challenge. If you're serious about taking supplements, best to check with a dietician first, otherwise, you'll just end up with expensive pee!

Amino acids, protein shakes, keto diets... beta, I've tried them all in my youth. Now I just try to walk a bit and eat ghar ka khaana. But if you want to take supplements, please talk to a doctor or a proper nutritionist first. Don't just follow internet trends, sometimes they do more harm than good, aur phir mujhe bhi gym jaane ka energy nahi milta!

Hey! So, a lot of my friends who go to the gym take amino acids, especially BCAAs, around their workouts. They say it helps with muscle recovery and can indirectly aid weight loss by preserving muscle while you cut calories. But for proper dosage and timing, everyone says to talk to a gym trainer or nutritionist who knows your body type and goals. Don't just blindly follow what's online!

As someone with PCOS, I'm always very careful about what I put into my body, especially for weight management. Amino acids can be helpful, but their role in direct weight loss isn't always straightforward. It's best to consult a doctor or a certified dietitian who can assess your specific needs, diet, and any underlying conditions before starting any supplement.

For something like weight loss and taking supplements, you must always consult a medical professional. My doctor at Apollo Hospital clearly told me that self-medication or taking supplements without proper guidance can be dangerous. Please explain your full medical history and weight loss goals to a doctor, and then they can tell you if amino acids are suitable and when to take them.
