When to have protein shakes for weight loss?

I've joined a gym and my trainer suggested adding protein shakes to my diet for weight loss. But I'm not sure when is the best time to have them – before workout, after, or at some other time during the day? I want to make sure I'm using them effectively.

Protein shakes can be a part of it, but overall lifestyle changes are key for weight loss, especially if you have issues like high BP like me. Always check with your doctor or a dietician first, so they can guide you on the right time and amount that suits your health condition. Don't just blindly follow fads.

Listen, protein shakes help you feel full, so you eat less junk. You can have it as a snack between meals or even replace one meal, like breakfast, if it fits your calorie goals. Simple as that. But make sure it's part of a balanced diet, not just shakes.

Oh, this is something I've spent hours overthinking! I get so worried about timing everything perfectly. From what I've read and heard, often people take them post-workout to help with muscle recovery and fullness, or as a meal replacement if calories are really being watched. But definitely, check with a nutritionist, it depends so much on your body.

Yaar, don't stress too much about the exact timing. The main thing is to get enough protein in your day, right? Some people like it for breakfast to feel full, some after a workout. Just see what works for you and keeps you satiated. It's about overall intake!

I always say, for any weight loss strategy involving supplements, it's best to consult a specialist. When I went to Apollo for my diet plan, the nutritionist explained that the timing depends on your overall diet, workout schedule, and specific goals. They can tell you exactly when to have it for maximum benefit.

Haha, for weight loss, I'd have a protein shake instead of that second chai with biscuits, if only my cravings allowed! Seriously though, I try to have it when I'm most likely to snack on something unhealthy, or after my evening walk. Makes me feel like I did *something* right today.
