What to eat for healthy weight gain?

I'm quite underweight and trying to put on some healthy weight, not just fat. I go to the gym but my diet needs to be better. What foods should I be eating regularly to gain weight in a healthy way?

I struggled to gain weight for years. The key is not just eating more, but eating *nutrient-dense* foods. Focus on healthy fats and proteins. Add nuts, seeds, avocados, paneer, eggs, and full-fat dairy to your diet. And incorporate strength training, otherwise, it'll just be fat, not muscle. Consistency is everything.

For healthy weight gain as a vegetarian, focus on good quality protein and healthy fats. Think paneer, tofu, lentils, chickpeas, and a variety of nuts and seeds. Also, incorporate complex carbohydrates like whole grains, sweet potatoes, and bananas. Don't just load up on junk food, it won't be healthy weight.

As a working professional, finding time for extra meals or elaborate cooking for weight gain can be tough. I found that having calorie-dense snacks ready helps. Like a handful of almonds and dates, a banana with peanut butter, or a quick paneer sandwich. And make sure your main meals are substantial with good protein. Don't skip meals.

Gaining weight healthily doesn't mean eating expensive supplements. You can do it affordably. Focus on local, seasonal fruits like bananas, inexpensive nuts like peanuts, and good old dal and rice with ghee. Make a habit of having an extra chapati or a small bowl of dahi. Small, consistent additions work better than one-time expensive buys.

It's interesting how some people want to lose weight and others want to gain! For healthy gain, I've seen a lot of advice about adding healthy fats like avocado and nuts, and increasing protein intake. Like, smoothies with protein powder and fruit sound good. Just avoiding empty calories, right?

Oooh, finally a question where I can tell people to eat more! 😉 For healthy weight gain, I love having homemade laddoos made with ghee, nuts, and jaggery. Also, milkshakes with banana and peanut butter are delicious and calorie-dense. And don't forget your main meals, just add a little extra ghee or butter for that yummy factor!

It's tough when everyone tells you to 'just eat more' but it doesn't work. I felt so self-conscious about being underweight. For healthy gain, try adding extra virgin olive oil to your food, eat dry fruits and nuts as snacks, and opt for full-fat milk products. It takes patience, but you'll get there. Don't lose hope.
