What should your heart rate be for weight loss?

I've started exercising recently to lose some weight, and my trainer mentioned keeping an eye on my heart rate. What should my target heart rate zone be if my main goal is actually fat loss? I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Actually, you don't need to overcomplicate it, yaar. Your fat-burn zone is generally around 110 to 140 bpm depending on your age. Just do a steady brisk walk or light jog where you can still talk but can't sing, it works perfectly.

I just started exercising and read that my target heart rate for burning fat should be around 60 to 70 percent of my maximum heart rate. Is a simple smart band accurate enough to measure this while walking, or do I need something better?

At 50, my heart rate goes up just looking at the stairs! Jokes aside, keeping it around 110-120 bpm is what my trainer suggested for fat loss. Anything more and my knees start complaining, so I stick to simple brisk walking.

It is usually between 60% and 70% of your maximum heart rate. Just keep a steady, moderate pace during your workouts.

Between work stress and lack of sleep, my resting heart rate is already high enough! Honestly, trying to calculate 'fat-burning zones' while running on a treadmill at 6 AM feels like math class all over again. I just walk fast until I'm tired.

I recently lost 12 kgs by focusing on keeping my heart rate in the moderate zone of 115 to 135 bpm. I used to do high-intensity workouts which just left me exhausted and hungry, but steady-state cardio was a game changer for sustainable fat loss.

With my busy schedule, I target 120-130 bpm during a quick 30-minute cardio session. You can calculate your max heart rate as 220 minus your age, and aim for 60-70% of that for weight loss. It is an efficient way to make sure your short workouts are actually effective.

Hey, don't stress too much about tracking every single heartbeat! Just focus on moving your body for 30-40 minutes daily, whether it is dancing or fast walking. As long as you are sweating and breathing a bit heavily, you are doing great.
