What percentage of women have pcos?

My best friend was recently diagnosed with PCOS, and it feels like a lot of girls around me are getting it too. I'm wondering if it's becoming more common. What percentage of women are affected by PCOS?

Back in our days, we didn't even have a proper name for these irregular periods, but so many women had it. Now we know it is PCOS and almost 1 in 5 young girls seem to have it. Don't worry, with proper food and a peaceful mind, you can manage it beautifully.

Almost every second female colleague in my office discusses managing PCOS alongside stressful projects. It is super common now, likely due to desk jobs and lack of sleep. Setting a fixed routine for sleep and meals helps a lot despite busy work hours.

My sister ignored her irregular cycles for almost three years, thinking it was just stress. It led to severe cysts and hormonal complications that took a long time to treat. Please get a proper pelvic ultrasound done if you notice symptoms.

Totally agree with others here. Just walk for 30 minutes daily after dinner, it really helps control the spike in blood sugar.

I was just reading some medical articles and saw that PCOS is actually one of the leading endocrine disorders among women globally. It is crazy how common it has become now. Hopefully, more awareness makes it easier to manage.

If you are going for PCOS diagnosis, compare lab rates first because hormone profiles can get quite expensive. Look for bundled health packages online that cover thyroid, prolactin, and ultrasound together. It saves a lot of money instead of getting individual tests done.

PCOS is closely tied to insulin resistance, similar to how we manage type 2 diabetes. Cutting out refined sugars, maida, and sweet beverages is the absolute first step you should take. Focus on high-fiber foods to keep your insulin levels stable.

I successfully reversed my PCOS symptoms after struggling for five long years. Don't fall for crash diets or expensive supplements sold online. Just stick to home-cooked meals, sleep by 11 PM, and maintain a consistent physical routine.

My wife has PCOS and honestly, our sleep schedule is so wrecked that we are awake researching remedies at 3 AM. It feels like half the world's population has it and the other half is trying to cure it with spearmint tea. Just take it easy and get some sleep first.

I have guided many young girls in my family through PCOS concerns over the years. Around 15% to 20% of women in reproductive age deal with this. The key is consistency in your daily food habits and not hopping from one trend to another.

Strength training is a game changer for women dealing with PCOS. It helps build muscle, which directly improves insulin sensitivity and helps manage weight. Try lifting weights three times a week and see the difference it makes.

No need to buy fancy quinoa or expensive avocados to cure PCOS. Just replace normal white rice with brown rice or dahlia, and reduce the quantity of sugar in your daily tea. Simple household adjustments work best in the long run.

I was diagnosed with PCOS during my college days and felt so alone back then. But once I started talking to my friends, I realized almost all of us were dealing with irregular cycles or stubborn acne. It is very common, so please don't feel isolated.
