What painkillers are safe during pregnancy?

I'm just a few weeks pregnant and have been getting a lot of headaches lately. My friend told me I can't take just any painkiller now. What painkillers are safe during pregnancy?

Please, for your own sake and the baby's, don't ignore symptoms but also don't self-medicate. During my first pregnancy, I had a headache and took something without asking, and it caused issues. Always, always check with your gynaecologist first. It's not worth the risk.

Generally, paracetamol is considered safe during pregnancy, but only under a doctor's supervision and specified dosage. NSAIDs like ibuprofen are usually avoided, especially in the third trimester. Your OB-GYN is the best person to advise you.

Oh, this is such a common worry during pregnancy! I remember trying warm compresses and head massages for headaches, or ginger tea for nausea. For actual pain, my doctor only suggested paracetamol, but even then, very sparingly. It's best to discuss any pain with your doctor to see if simple remedies can work first.

It's completely normal to feel anxious about taking any medicine during pregnancy, I went through the same thing! You want to be so careful. What really helped me was noting down all my symptoms and then asking my doctor directly during appointments. They know best what's safe for you and your baby.

I'm pregnant too and literally scared to take anything! Even a slight headache makes me worry. Has anyone else felt this way? My doctor said paracetamol but I'm still so hesitant. Is it really okay?
