What is the risk of miscarriage in early pregnancy?

I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm very excited but also a bit nervous. What is the normal risk of miscarriage in early pregnancy? My sister had one, so I'm a bit worried.

Early miscarriage risk is actually quite common, around 10 to 20 percent, mostly due to chromosomal issues that we cannot control. Please don't blame yourself if you are going through this; talk to your gynecologist who can guide you on the next steps.

My wife and I faced this last year during the first trimester. It was a tough phase, but the doc told us it's very common in the first 12 weeks and usually not because of anything we did. If you see any spotting, just take her to the hospital immediately.

I went through an early miscarriage in my first pregnancy and it was devastating, but the doctor assured me it is often nature's way when something isn't developing right. My best tip is to rest, get an ultrasound, and remember that many women go on to have healthy babies later.

These initial months are delicate, so keeping your mind peaceful and stress-free is very important. Stay positive, eat fresh home-cooked food, and leave the anxiety behind. Trust your doctors and take good care of your health.

Please be very careful during the first three months. If you experience any severe cramping, lower back pain, or water leaking/spotting, do not wait for online replies and go straight to your doctor or emergency room. Early intervention is critical.
