What is the average weight loss with trulicity?

My doctor recently put me on Trulicity for my diabetes. I'm also hoping to lose some weight alongside managing my sugar. What kind of average weight loss do people usually see with Trulicity?

Beta, if you're asking about medicines like Trulicity, please don't rely on averages you read online. These are serious medications. I made the mistake of self-diagnosing once, and it wasn't good. Always, always get a proper checkup and discuss with your doctor before starting anything.

It's totally valid to want to know what to expect with medications like Trulicity. I get anxious too when starting new treatments. From what I've heard, the weight loss can vary, maybe 2-5 kgs over several months, but it's not guaranteed for everyone. Best to talk to your doctor about realistic expectations for *your* body.

Yaar, Trulicity is mainly for diabetes, but haan, some people do lose weight with it. Actually, it's not like a dedicated weight loss drug, so the weight loss is usually moderate, maybe 3-5% of body weight. Don't expect huge changes, but every bit helps, na?

One of my profs was talking about these new diabetes meds. She mentioned Trulicity and said some patients saw about 2-3 kgs weight loss on average, but it's more of a side effect from better blood sugar control. So yeah, don't count on it as a primary weight loss solution, I guess.

Hello everyone. I'm new to learning about Trulicity. Does the weight loss happen quickly, or is it very slow? And are there any specific things that help or hinder the weight loss while on it? Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
