What is a serving of rice for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight and my dietitian told me to watch my rice portions. What is considered a 'serving' of rice when you're trying to cut down? I'm finding it hard to estimate.

Namaste ji, for weight loss, usually one small katori (bowl) of cooked rice is enough for one meal. Not too much, not too little. We need energy, but also need to control. My daadi used to say, 'aadha pet khaana, doosra aadha paani aur hawa'. Very simple wisdom.

Honestly, for weight loss, a serving of rice should be about half a cup cooked. That's roughly 100-120 calories. Focus on brown rice over white, and pair it with lots of veggies and protein. Portion control is key, not eliminating rice entirely, especially if you're Indian.

Yaar, for weight loss, actually, it's not about cutting rice completely, but limiting the quantity. My trainer said half to one small katori of cooked rice is fine. And prefer brown rice, it's better. Don't go crazy, balance it out with sabzi and dal.

For general weight management, small changes work wonders. For rice, try to limit it to one small bowl per meal, and definitely add more vegetables and protein. This is a natural, sustainable way. But if you have any underlying health issues or very stubborn weight, always consult a doctor, don't just rely on home tips.

Please, don't follow extreme diets and cut out important staples like rice completely. I tried that once and felt so weak and dizzy, my health suffered. It's better to have a balanced approach with controlled portions. Consult a nutritionist to get a proper diet plan suitable for you, instead of random advice. Don't risk your health.

Eating less rice doesn't cost anything extra, unlike fancy diet foods. For weight loss, a practical serving is about 50-70 grams of cooked rice, which is like a small fistful. This keeps you full without excess calories. It's about being mindful with your regular meals, not buying expensive alternatives.
