What hormone causes hair loss in women?

Lately, I've noticed a lot more hair falling out, especially when I comb it. My gynaecologist mentioned something about hormones affecting it. Could someone tell me which specific hormone might be causing this hair loss in women?

For me, my hair loss was linked to PCOS and hormonal imbalance. Specifically, higher levels of androgens can cause it. It's really best to get your hormones tested by a doctor to confirm what's going on, don't just guess.

Please don't ignore this. I had some hair thinning and just thought it was stress, didn't check for ages. Turns out it was a thyroid issue that could have been managed earlier. Go to a doctor and get proper tests done, trust me, it's worth it.

While hormones are a big factor, stress also plays a role. If your doctor gives a go-ahead, maybe try some light exercise or walking. It helps manage stress, which in turn might help your overall health, including hair. But first, get that diagnosis.

Betiyan, bahut cheezein hoti hain. Sometimes after delivery, or with age, hormones change. Some say coconut oil massage helps but for actual hair loss, it's better to ask a doctor. They can tell you exactly why this is happening.

It's true that hormonal imbalances, particularly related to thyroid, PCOS, or even fluctuating estrogen levels after childbirth or menopause, are common culprits for hair loss in women. However, self-diagnosis is unreliable and potentially harmful. Consulting a qualified doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan is always the most advisable approach.

As a working woman, I understand wanting quick answers. But for hair loss, self-diagnosis is not good. Schedule an appointment with a gynaecologist or an endocrinologist; they deal with hormone-related issues and can guide you properly. It saves time in the long run.

My daughter had terrible hair loss in her teens, and it was due to hormonal changes plus some nutritional deficiencies. We saw an endocrinologist, and with proper diet and a few supplements, it got better. So, definitely consult a specialist.

I just went through this! My doctor found it was due to a vitamin D deficiency and also my thyroid was a bit off. Once I started meds and supplements, it's slowly coming back. So yeah, get a full blood panel done. Don't wait like I did.

My mother used to say hormones can be tricky for women. Some in my family had hair issues because of thyroid. It's always best to speak to a doctor, they will know what tests to do. Don't worry too much, but please check it out.

My grandmother used to suggest onion juice for hair, but if it's severe hair loss, it's definitely not just about natural remedies. Hormonal imbalances like thyroid or PCOD can cause it. You must go to a doctor to rule out any serious underlying cause.

I always go to a good hospital for any health issue. For hair loss in women, it's a bit complex. You need to ask your doctor specifically about thyroid hormones, estrogen, and androgens. They can guide you on what tests are needed to pinpoint the exact hormonal cause.

Haan, hormones ka toh bahut scene hota hai ladkiyon mein. PCOS ya thyroid se bhi ho sakta hai. Na, khud se kuch try mat karo. Pehle doctor ke paas jaake blood test karwa lo, tabhi pata chalega asli problem kya hai.

Honestly, for anything like hair loss, there are so many reasons. It could be hormones, nutrition, stress... the list is long. The safest bet is always to consult a good doctor. They can run tests and tell you precisely what's causing it.

Oh, hair loss, the bane of existence! For women, it's often more complicated than for us men. Could be anything from Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to thyroid or even stress from daily life. Better consult a doctor, don't make your Google search history longer!
