What helps swollen feet during pregnancy?

I'm in my third trimester and my feet have started swelling up quite a bit, especially by evening. My mom said it's normal but it's getting uncomfortable. Is there anything I can do at home to help with this?

Swollen feet during pregnancy can be so uncomfortable! What helped my friend was doing gentle foot and ankle rotations and also soaking her feet in cool water with Epsom salt. Make sure your shoes are comfy and don't pinch anywhere. Also, staying hydrated is important, it sounds counterintuitive but it helps!

Ah, the pregnancy swollen feet! It's like your feet are auditioning to be inflatable pool toys. 😂 But seriously, try to elevate them above your heart whenever possible. And maybe ask your partner for a foot massage? It's a win-win, you get relief, and they get to feel useful! Hope your feet de-inflate soon!

Hey girl! Swollen feet are super common in pregnancy, so don't stress too much about it, okay? My sister had it bad. She said comfy slippers, keeping her feet up, and drinking plenty of water helped a lot. Also, no tight socks! You're doing great, hang in there!

I've been there, swollen feet are just agonizing! I tried so many things. Elevating your feet whenever you sit or lie down is a must. Gentle foot massages, always towards the heart, can help. Also, wearing proper maternity compression stockings and avoiding standing for long periods. Keep sipping water, dehydration can worsen it. It does get better after delivery!

Okay, swollen feet during pregnancy is common, but don't just blindly follow every random internet tip. Some things might not be safe. Always verify any advice, especially remedies, with your doctor or gynecologist. They'll know what's safe for you and the baby. It's too important to take risks with unverified info.

For swollen feet, elevate them above heart level as much as possible. Invest in good compression stockings. And ensure your fluid intake is adequate, not less. If swelling is sudden or severe, don't waste time, consult your OB-GYN immediately to rule out preeclampsia. Be practical and prioritize safety.

While you can't hit the gym like before, maintaining gentle activity, like daily walks, can actually help with circulation and reduce swelling. Focus on a balanced diet to manage weight gain, which can exacerbate swelling. Plenty of potassium-rich foods can also help with fluid balance. Always check with your doctor for approved exercises.

Swollen feet, or edema, in pregnancy is quite common due to increased blood volume. Apart from elevating your legs, staying well-hydrated is crucial. Avoid restrictive clothing around your ankles. If the swelling is sudden, severe, or accompanied by headaches, blurred vision, or abdominal pain, contact your doctor immediately as it could indicate preeclampsia.
