Please take some weight from me, I gain it just by looking at a samosa! Jokes aside, peanut butter toast and mango shakes are amazing for this. I literally drink a shake late at night when I can't sleep, though my doctor says that sleep cycle also affects metabolism.
Honestly, weight gain should be healthy muscle weight, not just fat. Add bananas, full-cream milk, and dry fruits to your diet daily. Also, if your doctor says it is fine, start light weight training or even brisk walking to stimulate your appetite.
This is my favorite topic! Potatoes, ghee-rice, paneer, and thick mango milkshakes are your best friends here. Just eat what you love but increase the portion sizes slowly, especially during dinner.

A balanced digestive system is the secret to proper weight. Try eating soaked almonds, dates, and fresh bananas daily with warm milk. Doing light yoga like Vajrasana after meals also improves your body's absorption power.

It can be frustrating when you want to gain weight and nothing works. Try adding small spoons of pure ghee to your dal and rice every day. It is gentle on the stomach and very nourishing.
I was just reading about this yesterday on some medical blogs. Turns out eating calorie-dense but healthy stuff like almonds, walnuts, and avocados really helps. Don't just eat junk food to gain weight, that ruins health internally.
