This is a very important question as liver health is crucial. The main foods that can damage the liver over time are excessive alcohol, foods high in refined sugars (especially fructose from sugary drinks), processed foods with unhealthy fats, and very high intake of red meat. It's about minimizing these and focusing on whole, unprocessed foods.
For liver health, especially with our busy schedules, the biggest culprits are often found in convenience foods. Excessive alcohol, sugary drinks, heavily processed foods (like ready meals, packaged snacks), and fried items high in unhealthy fats. It's about reducing consistent exposure to these, not just one-off treats. Focus on balanced, home-cooked meals.
With thyroid issues, I'm always advised to keep my body balanced. For the liver, it's generally known that excessive alcohol, high amounts of sugar, and processed foods with unhealthy fats can be damaging. Regular check-ups with a doctor are vital to monitor liver health, especially if you have other health conditions.

From what I've read and heard from older family members, too much alcohol is a big one. Also, lots of sugary drinks, fried foods, and really processed snacks can be tough on the liver over time. Best to stick to home-cooked meals and fresh stuff most days.
