What foods are good to eat during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester of pregnancy and trying to make sure I'm eating right for both me and the baby. My mother-in-law gives me lots of advice, but I want to know what foods are genuinely good and recommended during pregnancy. What should be on my plate daily?

During pregnancy, I just wanted to eat *anything* that didn't make me want to throw up! Honestly, whatever you can keep down in the first trimester, bless it. After that, lots of dal, paneer, greens, and fruits. But trust me, you'll be too tired to cook elaborate meals!

As a vegetarian, I made sure I got enough protein from paneer, lentils, and chickpeas. Iron from spinach and dates is also crucial. And plenty of dairy for calcium. Always cook veggies well and wash fruits thoroughly. Consult your gynaecologist for a proper diet chart.

When my wife was pregnant, her doctor told her to focus on balanced meals. Lots of whole grains, lean protein, and plenty of fruits and veggies. She also had to take folic acid and iron supplements. Don't forget small, frequent meals to help with nausea.

This is something I've been researching a lot lately, planning for the future, you know. I've found that leafy greens, berries, whole grains, and healthy fats like avocado and nuts are always on the 'good list'. And don't forget dairy for calcium!

Oh, pregnancy time is special! Don't worry too much, just eat good, nourishing food. Dal, roti, sabzi, curd – simple ghar ka khaana is best. And plenty of fruits. My mother always said to have a glass of milk every day. Just avoid anything too spicy or uncooked, and listen to your elders and doctor.

During pregnancy, everything needs to be super safe. While general advice helps, please ensure you get a proper diet plan from your gynaecologist. Some foods, even seemingly healthy ones, might need to be limited or avoided depending on your individual health. Don't take chances.
