What do cavities look like on baby teeth?

My son is only five, and I've noticed some discoloration on his baby teeth. His friends' parents said it might be cavities. What do cavities typically look like on baby teeth? Should I be taking him to a pediatric dentist right away?

On baby teeth, they often start as dull white bands near the gumline and later turn into yellowish-brown spots. Because baby enamel is thin, decay can progress quite fast. Take your child to a dentist for a quick checkup and some preventive fluoride gel.

They appear as small dark lines or yellowish spots on the little teeth. Make sure the child rinses their mouth nicely with water after every meal, and don't let them sleep with a milk bottle. Take them to a proper dentist to get it cleaned.

I know how stressful it is when you spot a dark mark on your child's tooth and start worrying about painful treatments. They usually look like tiny yellow-brown spots or small pits. Book a consultation with a dentist, they are very gentle with kids and will guide you.

They look like chalky white spots or small brown pits on the tooth surface. Please don't rely on random home remedies like rubbing turmeric on a child's tooth decay; only a pediatric dentist can treat baby tooth cavities properly.

They look like yellowish-brown spots or tiny visible holes on the child's teeth. Don't think 'they are just baby teeth and will fall out anyway'—neglecting them can ruin their permanent teeth. Take the kid to a dentist and get it filled.

My niece had these tiny brownish dots on her front baby teeth that we almost missed. They turned out to be early cavities from sleeping with a milk bottle. Getting them filled early by a friendly dentist made the whole process so easy and stress-free.

They usually start as chalky white spots and can quickly turn into dark brown or black spots on those tiny teeth. Don't worry, a quick visit to a pediatric dentist will get it fixed easily with a tooth-colored filling!
