What causes sudden weight gain in women?

I've been feeling so low lately, and my weight has just shot up in the last few months without me doing anything different. My friend said it could be some hormonal issue since I'm a woman. What causes sudden weight gain specifically in women?

Please get this checked by a gynaecologist soon. I ignored my sudden weight gain thinking it was just stress, but it turned out to be a large ovarian cyst that needed medical attention. It is always safer to get an ultrasound and blood tests done early.

Don't blindly follow any fat-burning tips or random herbal juices you see online to fix this. Sudden weight gain in women is a internal medical issue, usually related to thyroid or hormones, which only proper medical tests can confirm. Please consult a qualified doctor instead of self-treating.

I was actually reading up on this recently because my sister went through it. Studies show that hormonal shifts during PCOS, thyroid imbalances, or even starting certain medications can cause very rapid weight changes in women. It's quite common but definitely needs a doctor's diagnosis.

Hey, I went through this exact same thing last year. For most of us, sudden weight gain is closely linked to PCOS or thyroid issues because of our hectic schedules. Try to track your periods and sleep cycle, and definitely book an appointment with a doctor to get some clarity.

Haan na, weight suddenly increase hota hai toh tension toh aati hai. It is usually because of hormonal imbalance or stress, ho na. Don't worry too much, just consult a good gynaecologist and get your hormone levels checked once.
