What are the current treatments for psoriatic arthritis?

My mother has been suffering from psoriatic arthritis for many years, and it has really affected her quality of life. The older treatments weren't very effective. Are there any new or current treatments available for this condition now?

For psoriatic arthritis, current treatments are quite advanced. Doctors usually start with NSAIDs for pain, then move to DMARDs like Methotrexate, or newer biologics if needed. There are also targeted synthetic DMARDs. It's about finding what works best with your rheumatologist. Don't delay treatment.

As someone managing thyroid, I know how important it is to have regular doctor visits for any chronic condition. For psoriatic arthritis, it's not just about pain relief; it's about preventing joint damage. Your rheumatologist will decide on the right mix of medication and lifestyle changes. Don't skip your follow-ups or tests, they are crucial.

My fitness app sometimes suggests articles on autoimmune conditions. For psoriatic arthritis, I've read about biologics being quite effective for many. Along with meds, managing inflammation through diet and gentle exercise, as monitored by a doctor, really helps. Tracking your pain and activity levels might also give your doctor useful insights.

Psoriatic arthritis? Sounds like another thing keeping me up at night, along with everything else! But jokes aside, I've seen friends talk about injections or advanced medications for it. Whatever it is, if it gives you relief and lets you sleep, it's a good treatment! Don't let it mess with your sleep cycle.

For joint pains, ghar pe log haldi doodh, ajwain ka pani bhi dete hain. These are for general aches. But for something serious like psoriatic arthritis, you must follow the doctor's medicine properly. These modern medicines can help a lot. Don't neglect it, beta.

Hmm, my aunt had some joint issues, not exactly this, but similar pain. She always said to keep moving gently. For psoriatic arthritis, I've heard doctors prescribe medicines to calm the immune system. While family remedies might offer some comfort, always, always trust your doctor's specific advice for this kind of condition. They know best.

Oh, I literally just finished a course of treatment for this! It was tough. My rheumatologist started me on a DMARD, and honestly, it took a few weeks to see results, but the pain and swelling reduced significantly. Regular physiotherapy was also a game-changer. Consistency with meds and exercises is key. Don't lose hope!
