What are early symptoms of kidney stones?

My elder brother had kidney stones a few years back, and he said the pain was really bad. Lately, I've been feeling some dull ache in my back and also some discomfort while peeing. Just wondering if these could be early signs.

I got a sharp, sudden pain in my lower back during a heavy squat session and thought it was a muscle pull, but it turned out to be a small stone. Make sure you are drinking enough water throughout your workouts, especially if you take protein supplements. If that back pain radiates down to your groin, go get an ultrasound done.

Trust me, when a kidney stone starts moving, you will know! It feels like a tiny ninja is kicking you from the inside of your back. If you are suddenly rushing to the bathroom every five minutes with almost nothing coming out, just drink water and run to a clinic before the ninja gets angry!

Haan na, that lower back pain is really horrible, and it comes and goes so weirdly. My cousin also had this and she even felt like vomiting because of the severe ache near her ribs. Better to check with a doc once and do an ultrasound, waste of time waiting otherwise, ho na.

Welcome to the group! Usually, the first signs are a sharp pain in your back or side, cloudy or foul-smelling urine, and a burning sensation while peeing. Drinking plenty of warm water helps, but you must consult a urologist to check the stone size through a simple scan.

It is honestly so exhausting to deal with that constant dull ache in your side, never knowing when it will flare up into sharp pain. I remember crying from the anxiety of it before my doctor finally diagnosed the stone and gave me proper medication. Please don't suffer silently, get a quick checkup to ease your mind.
