Is wellbutrin safe during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and have been taking Wellbutrin for a while. My new gynaecologist is reviewing all my medications. Is Wellbutrin considered safe to continue taking during pregnancy?

Pregnancy is already a roller coaster, so definitely don't add Google-induced panic to the mix! Leave the heavy medical decisions to your obstetrician; they know exactly what is safe for the junior inside.

I completely understand how stressful it is to think about taking any medication during pregnancy. The constant worry about safety is so exhausting. Please talk to both your psychiatrist and gynaecologist to weigh the benefits and risks clearly.

My wife was on a low dose of antidepressant under her doctor's supervision during her pregnancy, and our baby is perfectly healthy. It depends completely on your specific condition, so just consult your doctor directly.

I was looking into this topic recently out of curiosity. It seems doctors usually evaluate if the benefits to the mother outweigh any potential risks to the baby. It's definitely a decision only a specialist should make.

During such precious times, keeping the mind calm is very important. If the doctor advises you to continue the medicine for your mental peace, please follow their advice, and try doing very gentle breathing exercises daily.

Please don't stress yourself out reading random things online right now. Your health and peace of mind are just as important for the baby. Just have an honest chat with your gynaecologist, they will guide you safely.
