Is weight loss a sign of pregnancy?

My periods are delayed, and usually I gain a little weight around this time, but this month I've actually lost a couple of kilos. Can weight loss also be a sign of early pregnancy?

My mother always says that some women actually lose weight in the first trimester because of severe morning sickness and not being able to keep food down. It is quite common, but you must consult your gynecologist to ensure you are getting enough hydration and nutrients.

Sip some ginger tea or lemon water to soothe your stomach if you are feeling very nauseous and losing weight. However, if the vomiting is severe and you cannot keep even water down, do not rely on home remedies. Go see your doctor immediately.

Haan, shuru ke months mein ulti aur nausea ki wajah se thoda weight kam ho sakta hai, isme koi ajeeb baat nahi hai. Par zyada weakness ho rahi ho toh doctor se consult kar lena chahiye na. Apne khane-peene ka dhyan rakho.

While weight gain is what we expect, weight loss can happen early on due to nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. It is usually temporary, but if you can't keep any fluids down, please see a doctor immediately to avoid dehydration. Do a home pregnancy test first.

Please do not ignore unexplained weight loss. I once ignored my nausea and weight drop thinking it was just regular stomach infection, which delayed my prenatal care and caused complications. If your period is delayed, get checked by a doctor right away.

Actually, early pregnancy mein severe vomiting ki wajah se weight drop ho sakta hai yaar. Meri wife ka bhi first trimester mein thoda weight kam ho gaya tha because she couldn't eat anything. If you suspect pregnancy, just do a quick test at home.

Haan behan, hamare yahan bhi kayi khubsurat behno ko shuruat mein ulti ki wajah se thoda vazan kam ho jata hai. Isme darna nahi, par acche se ghee-doodh aur gila khana khao. Ek baar bade hospital mein doctor ko dikha lo toh dil ko shanti mil jayegi.

It can totally happen if morning sickness is keeping you away from your favorite food! Many of my friends lost a bit of weight in the first couple of months. Just keep yourself hydrated and do a quick pregnancy test to be sure!

If you are busy with work and experiencing sudden weight loss along with nausea, it might be due to early pregnancy or just stress-induced acidity. Don't waste time searching online. Take a 5-minute home urine test tomorrow morning to get a clear answer.

Significant weight loss or sudden physical changes should always be monitored alongside blood pressure and routine health checkups. In pregnancy, continuous vomiting can affect electrolyte levels and BP. Please consult a doctor for a proper checkup.

I completely understand how scary it is to see the weight drop when you might be expecting. It makes you worry if the baby is okay, but early nausea often causes this. Please don't stress, just visit your doctor who can reassure you and give you something to help with the nausea.

Oh god, I always overthink these things too and start searching every small symptom online! Weight loss can happen if you aren't eating well due to early pregnancy hormones, but it could also be due to stomach issues. Please do a test or talk to a doctor so you can sleep peacefully.
