Is walking or yoga better for weight loss?

I'm looking for a gentle way to lose some post-pregnancy weight. I enjoy both walking and yoga. Which one is generally considered more effective for weight loss?

Yoga is not just about burning calories, it heals your relationship with food and calms the nervous system. Brisk walking is great for physical movement, but combining it with pranayama and regular asanas helps you lose weight holistically. Let your practice be gentle and regular.

When my thyroid was diagnosed, weight loss felt impossible. I had to do regular blood tests and consult my doctor before starting a routine. For thyroid patients, a mix of daily brisk walking and specific yoga poses works beautifully to keep hormones and weight in check.

In my sixty years, I have seen that consistency is the only thing that actually works for health. Walking in the morning and doing light stretching or yoga in the evening has kept me fit and active. Do not worry about which is better, just choose the one you can enjoy daily.

Please be careful because trying difficult yoga poses without guidance or walking too much with bad knees can cause joint injuries. I ignored joint strain and ended up with a severe knee issue. It is always safer to consult a doctor or a certified trainer before starting any regimen.

I literally had the same question last year! I found that walking helped me burn active calories faster, but yoga was amazing for toning my body and reducing stress bloat. Honestly, you can do walking on weekdays and yoga on weekends to get the best of both worlds.
