Is walking or weight lifting better for weight loss?

I want to lose weight and also build some muscle, but my time is limited. If I have to choose between walking and weight lifting, which one would be better for overall weight loss goals?

Gym memberships and dumbbells can be quite expensive and hard to fit into a busy routine. My simple solution is to walk daily for 40 minutes and do free home exercises like squats and push-ups. It costs absolutely nothing and keeps you highly fit without any fuss.

Haan, dono ka combination sabse mast hai! Walking se cardio ho jata hai aur weight lifting se muscles build hoti hain, na? Dono ko mix karke karo, badhiya results milenge aur boredom bhi nahi hoga.

Before lifting any heavy weights, it's wise to get a green light from your doctor. At my hospital, the physician advised me that a mix of walking and light resistance training is safest for the joints. Please consult your doctor clearly to map out what is right for your body.

While weight lifting builds physical strength, regular walking in nature keeps the mind calm and energy flowing. I suggest walking mindfully, focusing on your breathing, and complementing it with simple bodyweight postures. It brings a holistic balance to weight loss.

With my thyroid issue, losing weight was extremely slow until I balanced walking with light strength training. Make sure you get your TSH levels tested regularly and follow up with your doctor. Sometimes, slow metabolism needs a specific exercise mix which only your doctor can safely suggest.

I know how intimidating it feels to step into the weights section at the gym when you are trying to lose weight. Don't worry at all; walking is a fantastic, stress-free way to start your journey. You can slowly introduce very light dumbbells at home once you feel more confident.

If you choose weight lifting, you must increase your protein intake with paneer, sattu, or dal to help your muscles recover. If your diet is mostly simple carbs, stick to brisk walking for now so you don't exhaust your muscles. Proper nutrition must match your exercise type.
