Is walking or elliptical better for weight loss?

I'm looking for a low-impact exercise for weight loss and am considering either walking or using an elliptical machine. Which one would give me better results for shedding weight?

Haan, dono hi badhiya hain, but elliptical par thoda jyada sweat aata hai. Elliptical pulls your whole body into the workout, na? Par agar boring lagta hai toh walk sabse best aur simple option hai.

For me, simple walking is the best. You don't need any fancy machines or gym settings, just step out of the house in the morning. It keeps the mind happy and the body light without any extra worry.

Both have their benefits, but the elliptical is much gentler on the joints compared to fast walking. If you have any history of knee or back issues, definitely ask your doctor first before starting high-intensity sessions. Otherwise, just do what you enjoy consistently.

Why pay heavy gym fees for an elliptical when walking outside is absolutely free? I prefer planning my finances practically; a good pair of shoes is a one-time cost, and you can walk anywhere. Save that gym money for healthy groceries or annual health checkups.

With PCOS, high-stress workouts can sometimes backfire and raise cortisol. Personally, brisk walking has been much more calming and effective for my insulin resistance than exhausting myself on the elliptical. Everyone's body reacts differently, so try both gently to see what suits your hormones.

My fitness band shows that my heart rate stays much higher on the elliptical, which means more calorie burn per minute than regular walking. If your goal is pure calorie tracking and efficiency, go for the elliptical. But tracking 10k daily steps of walking is also super effective for neat activity.
