Is walking on a treadmill good for weight loss?

My knees aren't great for outdoor running, so I was thinking of getting a treadmill. I want to lose weight, but I'm not sure if just walking on a treadmill will be enough. Is it a good option for weight loss?

I used to worry if treadmill walking would hurt my knees or if I was setting the speed too high for my heart rate. Honestly, it is really good for calorie burn, just make sure to start slow and don't overdo the incline right away. Please listen to your body because safety comes first.

Treadmill walking works wonders but only if you are consistent and keep an eye on your food. I lost 8 kg just by doing 40 minutes of incline walking daily and staying in a calorie deficit. Don't just stroll, keep a brisk pace where it feels like a proper workout.

I completely understand how stressful it can be when you want to start exercising but worry about doing the wrong thing. Treadmill walking is actually a very safe and effective place to start your fitness journey. It helped me ease into a routine without feeling overwhelmed.

Does anyone else get slightly dizzy after stepping off the treadmill after a long walk? I want to use it regularly for weight loss but this feeling makes me a bit nervous to continue. It does help burn calories but that post-walk spin is so weird.

Treadmill walking is superb, yaar. Actually, when it rains like crazy in Pune, the treadmill is my only savior for cardio. Just put on a good podcast, set a decent incline, and the time will fly by while you burn those calories.

Walking is a beautiful way to connect with your breath and move the body gently. While a treadmill is good for sweat, I always feel that walking mindfully outdoors gives much better energy. If you must use the machine, keep your posture straight and breathe deeply throughout.

I just finished a 3-month weight loss challenge where my main exercise was just treadmill walking. It really works, I lost almost 6 kg! The trick is to change the speed and incline every few minutes so your body doesn't get used to it.
