Is walking better than running for weight loss?

I'm trying to decide between walking and running for my weight loss goals, as running feels very strenuous. My physio mentioned walking might actually be better for some people. Is walking truly better than running for weight loss?

Honestly, don't stress too much about which one is better! Just do what you actually enjoy because consistency is the real game. If you hate running, just put on some music and go for a nice brisk walk every day.

Please be careful before choosing. Years ago, I ignored mild knee pain and forced myself to run daily to lose weight, which completely ruined my joints. If you feel any pain, stop immediately and get a proper orthopedic checkup done first.

I was reading some articles on this last week because I wanted to start working out. Apparently, walking is better if you want to protect your knees from wear and tear in the long run. Running burns calories faster, but walking seems much more sustainable for regular people.

Physiologically speaking, walking is much safer for your spinal alignment and ankle joints. It keeps your heart rate in the fat-burning zone without causing sudden fatigue. Start with 30 minutes of brisk walking and see how your body responds.

I want to lose weight too but I get tired very quickly. Is it okay if I walk slowly for an hour instead of walking really fast? I am a bit scared of hurting my legs if I push too hard.
