Is vicks rub safe for pregnancy?

Feeling quite congested with this pregnancy cold, and usually, I just reach for Vicks. But now that I'm expecting, I'm hesitant. Is Vicks Rub safe for pregnancy, or should I avoid it?

Don't stress yourself over this, dear. Applying a tiny bit of Vicks on your temples or neck for a headache or cold is very common and perfectly safe. Just avoid using it on your chest if you feel the strong scent might trigger your morning sickness.

I was down with a bad cold just two weeks ago during my second trimester. My doctor told me using Vicks is absolutely fine as long as I don't ingest it or put it inside my nose. It really helped me breathe easier at night.

Haan yaar, external use ke liye toh bilkul safe hai. My wife used it throughout her pregnancy for minor headaches, koi issue nahi hua. Bas directly nose ke andar mat lagana, skin peel ho sakti hai na.

Unless you are planning to eat it like dessert, you are completely safe! Jokes apart, rubbing a little bit on your throat or back is totally fine and won't reach the baby at all.

I cannot give any medical guarantee, but during both of my pregnancies, I used Vicks regular rub for nasal congestion and never faced any issues. It was my go-to for quick relief.
