Is vibration good for weight loss?

I saw an ad for a vibration plate machine at the gym, claiming it helps with weight loss. I'm a bit skeptical, so I wanted to ask. Is vibration actually good for weight loss, or is it just another gimmick?

If just vibrating on a plate could burn fat, I would have lost 10 kgs by now just from my alarm shaking me awake every morning! Honestly, save your energy. Getting enough sleep and eating right works much better than these fancy machines.

I was also researching about those vibration plates at the gym last week. From what I read, they might help a little bit with muscle toning and balance, but they won't magically melt fat unless you are in a proper calorie deficit. Has anyone actually lost weight just using this?

No machine can replace the basics of a clean, portion-controlled diet. Even if you use vibration plates, you have to eat balanced meals with enough protein and fiber. Weight loss is 80% what you put on your plate, so focus on your diet first.

I have seen many people in my community group try these gadgets over the years. It can be a fun addition to your routine if your joints are healthy, but please don't expect miracles. Regular walking and a simple home-cooked diet are still the most reliable ways to shed weight.

I tried one of those vibrating belts once and it made my skin so itchy and red, which really scared me. Did anyone else experience this kind of reaction, or is it just my sensitive skin?

I am new here and just started my fitness journey. I was also wondering if these vibration belts we see in shopping malls are safe to use daily? Or do they cause any back pain or internal issues in the long run?
