Is vaporub safe during pregnancy?

I've caught a bad cold and have been using VapoRub for congestion. But I'm also pregnant, and now I'm worried if VapoRub is safe during pregnancy. I don't want to use anything that could be harmful.

Vaporub is a common ghar ka nuskha for colds, right? But for pregnancy, it's a bit tricky. The strong vapors, especially menthol, can sometimes be too much. I'd say use warm compresses or steam inhalation instead. Safer options are always better during this time.

Please don't take any chances during pregnancy, even with common remedies like Vaporub. I once ignored a small skin irritation, and it escalated into something problematic. For pregnancy, get every doubt cleared by your gynaecologist. What's safe normally might not be safe then.

During pregnancy, it's always 'safety first' with everything you apply or consume. Vaporub has strong ingredients. Instead of guessing, just check with your gynaecologist. While you're at it, maybe ask about safe, gentle stretches or light walking to help with circulation and overall well-being, if cleared by the doc.

My grandmother used to say for colds, just take steam with tulasi leaves. But for pregnancy, even for external things like Vaporub, my doctor advised to be very careful. Some strong smells can cause discomfort or other issues. Always ask your doctor, they know best for you and baby.

With thyroid conditions, my doctor is super strict about everything during pregnancy. So, I would definitely advise talking to your gynaecologist about Vaporub. Even though it's external, some ingredients can be absorbed or cause irritation. It's better to be safe and get their direct approval.
