Is there a women's mental health month?

I heard something on the news about a 'Women's Mental Health Month'. Is this a recognized thing, like how there's a breast cancer awareness month? I think it's really important to talk about.

I totally get it, life gets so overwhelming with work and family that we often ignore our own mental peace. While May is observed globally as Mental Health Month with a strong focus on women, your mind deserves care every single day. Please never feel guilty for putting your mental health first.

May is the designated month for mental health awareness, but don't wait for a calendar date to address anxiety or burnouts. I personally benefited greatly by setting strict boundaries at work and taking regular therapy sessions. If you are struggling, book a session with a registered counselor instead of suffering in silence.

Between managing household budgets, work, and kids, everyday feels like a mental health challenge for the women in our homes! May is the official month to talk about it, but honestly, some peace of mind and family support are needed 365 days a year. Go see a professional if the stress gets out of hand.

While May serves as a great platform for mental health discussions, medically, mental health issues can arise anytime due to hormonal changes, thyroid imbalances, or high stress. Keep an eye on your physical health too, and never hesitate to consult a doctor or clinical psychologist for proper diagnosis.

May is the main month for mental health, and honestly, we should talk about women's mental health way more openly. I saw my sister go through severe anxiety during her exams and therapy helped her a lot. Just seek professional support directly instead of overthinking it.

In our community, we see many women ignoring their stress until it turns into chronic physical ailments. While May highlights mental health awareness, the practical step is to normalize therapy and open conversations at home. If you feel constantly overwhelmed, please talk to a professional doctor.

I used to ignore my severe anxiety and sleep issues, thinking it was just daily stress, until it led to a complete emotional breakdown. Don't make the same mistake I did by waiting for some awareness month to take action. Go and see a mental health professional immediately if you feel something is off.
