Is there a women's mental health awareness month?

My sister was talking about some special month dedicated to women's mental health awareness. I think it's a very important topic, especially with all the stress women face. Is there really such a thing, and when is it?

I think globally, May is celebrated as Mental Health Awareness Month, which covers everyone, including women. Also, during Women's History Month in March, there is a lot of focus on women's well-being. It is pretty cool to see these discussions trending on our college campus.

May month mein mental health awareness celebrate hota hai, ho na. Aur aaj kal toh women's mental health par alag se kafi baat hoti hai, jo bohot acchi cheez hai. Humein isse normalise karna chahiye.

Having dealt with severe postpartum depression myself, I know how lonely it feels. While May is dedicated to mental health awareness, for those of us struggling, every single day is a battle. Please know that your pain is real, and seeking professional therapy was the best decision I ever made.

I was researching this and found that while May is the official Mental Health Month, some organizations focus specifically on maternal mental health in May as well. It is really important to understand how hormones and life changes affect women differently.

Awareness campaigns are fine, but in our daily lives, women's mental health should be supported by sharing household chores and offering a listening ear. Simple things like giving homemakers or working moms some personal quiet time daily works wonders. If the stress is too high, speaking to a counsellor is highly practical.

Yes, May is widely observed for mental health awareness, and maternal mental health is heavily highlighted then. Remember, you don't have to carry the weight of the world on your own shoulders. Take a break, speak up when you feel overwhelmed, and we can always find a good therapist to help you navigate this.

Awareness months like May are wonderful for starting the conversation, but mental health struggles need real-time professional care. If you or any woman in your life is feeling constantly low or anxious, please consult a qualified psychologist or psychiatrist. Do not wait for a specific month to seek help.
