Is sweat weight loss?

I sweat a lot when I exercise, and I feel lighter afterwards. Does that mean I've lost weight? Like, is sweat actual weight loss or just water?

Na bhai, pasina aana matlab garmi nikalna. Vajan toh tab kam hota hai jab hum kum khaate hain aur zyada chalte-firte hain. Pasine se sirf paani kam hota hai, wapas aa jata hai jab paani peete hain.

Sweating is primarily your body's mechanism for thermoregulation, meaning it's cooling you down. While it does result in temporary water weight loss, it's not directly indicative of fat loss. True weight loss involves a sustained calorie deficit and consistent physical activity. It's important not to confuse water loss with actual body fat reduction.

Log sochte hain jitna pasina nikalega, utna patle honge, but that's a myth. It's just water. You can drink water and gain it back. Real weight loss needs diet control and proper exercise, which doesn't cost anything extra. Don't waste money on sweat suits thinking it will make you lose weight faster.

Haha, if sweating was weight loss, I'd be a supermodel after every Delhi summer! Sadly, it's just your body trying not to melt. You lose water, not fat. So, hydrate well, eat healthy, and work out properly. Don't rely on just sweat for those dream abs!

Is it really just water weight? I always feel like I've done a really good workout if I'm dripping with sweat, and I secretly hope it means I'm losing weight faster. Does anyone else feel a bit demotivated to hear it's mostly temporary?

Sweating is a physiological process for temperature regulation, not an indicator of fat loss. While you lose some water and minerals, it's temporary. For accurate guidance on weight management, it's best to consult a doctor or a registered dietitian at a reputable hospital. They can provide a personalized plan.

I used to freak out too, thinking 'oh, I'm sweating, am I losing weight or just getting dehydrated?'. It's mostly just water loss, temporary stuff. So don't panic if the scale drops after a heavy workout, it'll probably go up once you drink water. Focus on long-term healthy habits.

No, sweat is definitely not weight loss in the fat sense. I've been on a weight loss journey for years. Sweating is your body's cooling system. You'll lose water temporarily, yes, but fat reduction comes from burning more calories than you consume, consistently. Hydrate well, and focus on diet and sustained exercise, that's the real deal.

My son also used to think if he sweats a lot during play, he's getting thin. I had to explain to him that it's just water. You need to keep drinking water to stay hydrated. For real weight loss, we teach him to eat healthy and play actively every day, not just sweat. It's a combination of things.

Sweating is just your body's way of staying cool. It's water loss, not fat loss. For actual weight loss, it's crucial to manage diet, get regular exercise, and for people like me with BP, regular checkups are key to ensure overall health. Don't focus only on sweat as an indicator.
