Is sudafed safe for pregnancy?

I'm having terrible congestion and a friend recommended Sudafed. I just found out I'm pregnant. Is Sudafed safe to use during pregnancy, or should I look for other remedies?

Sudafed is generally not recommended during pregnancy because it can restrict blood vessels. When my wife was expecting, her doctor suggested light indoor walking and keeping hydrated to naturally ease congestion instead of taking oral decongestants.

Please do not take Sudafed without talking to your doctor. I had blood pressure spikes during my pregnancy and was strictly told that decongestants like pseudoephedrine are highly risky. It's better to be extremely cautious.

Actually yaar, most doctors will tell you to avoid Sudafed when you are pregnant. It can increase your heart rate and affect the baby's blood supply. Better to stick to warm saline drops or steam inhalation, seriously.

Oral decongestants like Sudafed can affect uterine blood flow, especially in the first trimester. For the safety of your baby, please get a professional opinion from your OB-GYN before taking any over-the-counter cold medications.

During my pregnancy, the doctors at Medanta explicitly told me to avoid Sudafed and similar cold medications. I recommend you call your hospital clinic and ask your doctor clearly about what is safe for your congestion.

Haan, pregnancy mein Sudafed bilkul safe nahi mani jati hai na. Isse blood pressure badh sakta hai jo baby ke liye theek nahi hai. Apne doctor se pooch kar koi safe nasal spray likhwa lo, wo zyada behtar rahega.
