Is strength training good for weight loss?

I'm trying to get back in shape and shed some extra kilos. My friends keep telling me to lift weights. Is strength training actually good for weight loss, or is it just for building muscle?

It is excellent for weight loss because muscle mass increases your resting metabolic rate. Many people only do cardio and lose muscle, which is not healthy in the long run. Try to include 2-3 days of strength exercises along with a balanced diet.

Yes, beta, lifting small weights or doing pushups is very good to keep the body strong as we age. In our village, ladies used to grind flour by hand which was also a form of strength training. Just make sure to eat a handful of soaked almonds and don't push your body too hard.

Yes, it is amazing! Lifting weights won't make you bulky, it actually helps you burn fat and look super toned. Plus, it makes you feel so strong and confident! 💪✨

It is beneficial, but if you have any existing joint issues, back pain, or heart conditions, please ask your doctor before starting. When I went to my orthopedic doctor, he gave me a list of safe exercises to avoid putting pressure on my knees.

It is great for weight loss because muscle burns calories even when you are just sleeping or watching Netflix. Think of muscles as tiny employees working 24/7 to burn your fat. So go ahead and lift some weights, your couch will thank you!

Bro, don't stress too much about complex workout plans. Just start with simple dumbbells or bodyweight squats at home. It definitely helps with weight loss and honestly makes you look much better than just running on a treadmill all day.
