Is stevia safe during pregnancy?

I'm expecting my first child and trying to be very careful with what I consume. I usually use stevia in my tea. Is stevia considered safe to use during pregnancy?

I am in my second trimester and really want to cut down on sugar. Is stevia really safe for the baby? I have read mixed things online and feel a bit scared to try it without some advice.

I have PCOS and managed my diet strictly during my pregnancy. Generally, highly purified stevia is considered safe, but I would suggest avoiding crude stevia leaves. Please check with your gynecologist once just to be on the safer side.

Haan na, pregnancy mein har cheez ko lekar darr lagta hai. My doctor told me that moderate use of branded, refined stevia is totally fine. But homemade stevia extracts avoid karna hi behtar hai, ho na.

According to research, high-purity steviol glycosides are safe during pregnancy. It's a good way to keep gestational diabetes in check if you have sweet cravings. Just pair it with a balanced whole-food diet and light walking.

Our elders always say to eat only fresh, natural foods when expecting. My daughter wanted to use stevia, and our family doctor said purified stevia in small amounts is perfectly fine. But it is always best to ask your own obstetrician first.

I completely understand your anxiety, every small food decision feels so huge during pregnancy. Refined stevia is widely considered safe, but if it is causing you stress, it might be better to just use a tiny bit of normal jaggery instead.
