Is sourdough bread good for weight loss at night?

I'm trying to manage my weight and sometimes I get hungry late at night. My friend said sourdough bread might be a good option for a light dinner or late-night snack. Is sourdough bread good for weight loss even if eaten at night?

Look, eating heavy carbs late at night is never a great idea if you want to lose weight. Sourdough is definitely better than normal bread, but why eat bread at night? Stick to a light soup or some basic dal-chawal instead.

Eating sourdough at night won't harm you since it digests slowly and won't disrupt your sleep with a sugar crash. But keep the portion to just one slice and finish your dinner at least two hours before going to bed.

At this age, even breathing near a loaf of bread makes me gain weight, especially at night! Sourdough is supposed to be good, but my stomach prefers a simple khichdi before bed to avoid acidity. Try it if your digestion is strong enough.

It all depends on your overall daily calorie target. If you have remaining carbs left in your tracker, a slice of sourdough with some light cottage cheese is a great complex carb option that won't spike your nighttime insulin.

I get so anxious about eating any carbs after 7 PM because I feel it all turns to fat. Sourdough is fermented, which is reassuring, but maybe pair it with salad just to be safe? Let me know if you try it and how it goes!
