Is running or stairmaster better for weight loss?

My gym has both treadmills and a stairmaster, and I'm confused about which one to use for weight loss. I want to make the most of my time. Is running or stairmaster better for weight loss?

Both are great for weight loss, but I found Stairmaster to be more effective for me. It really works your glutes and hamstrings, and the constant climbing keeps your heart rate high without the impact of running. For weight loss, it's about consistency and how hard you push yourself on either machine.

Both running and Stairmaster are excellent cardio options for weight loss. Running is generally a full-body workout that's great for calorie burn, while the Stairmaster is fantastic for lower body strength and cardiovascular endurance with less impact. Choose based on what feels better on your joints and what you can stick to. Always check with your doc first if you have any concerns!

For weight loss, the 'better' one is the one you'll actually use regularly. Running is free if you do it outside, but can be hard on knees. Stairmaster is usually in a gym, so involves cost, but it's lower impact. Both burn good calories. It's about finding a practical routine you can follow consistently.

I always get confused between these two for calorie burning! Running feels like more effort, but the Stairmaster really burns my thighs. Has anyone seen better weight loss results with Stairmaster over running, or vice versa? I'm always worried about making the wrong choice.

While both are good for weight loss, it's really important to consider your joint health and any past injuries. Running can be high-impact, and the Stairmaster puts significant strain on knees if not done with proper form. I've had complications myself, so I always recommend consulting a doctor or a physiotherapist before picking a high-intensity exercise.
