Is raw honey safe for pregnancy?

I'm expecting my first baby and trying to be very careful with what I eat. My grandmother told me that raw honey is really beneficial, but a friend warned me about it. Is raw honey safe for pregnancy, or should I avoid it completely?

Your baby is perfectly safe from raw honey, but your kitchen might not be safe from your midnight cravings! Adult stomachs can easily digest it. Just don't finish the whole jar in one go!

My partner had raw honey throughout her pregnancy to sweeten her protein smoothies. It's safe, but just monitor your daily carb intake to avoid any sudden glucose spikes. Keep up with your light walks too!

I had a spoonful of raw honey yesterday and then panicked after reading about botulism online. Has anyone else consumed it during their first trimester and been completely fine? I am super worried now.

It is generally safe, but keep an eye on gestational diabetes. If your doctor allows regular light exercise, a short walk after meals can help manage any sugar spikes from honey. Moderation is always key.

I used to take a little honey for my throat when I was pregnant since I wanted to avoid regular cough syrups. It never caused any issues for me or my baby. Just make sure you buy a trusted, clean brand.

A warm cup of milk with a small drop of honey can be very soothing for pregnant mothers. It is safe and natural. Just keep your mind calm and avoid worrying about every little food item.

My wife ate raw honey regularly during her pregnancy and we had no issues at all. Our doctor told us it's perfectly fine for adults. But check with your own OB-GYN just to be absolutely sure.

Yes, raw honey is safe for pregnant women. The risk of botulism only applies to infants under one year old.
