Is ragi idli good for weight loss?
I'm trying to cut down on carbs and lose some weight. I love eating idli, and I've heard ragi idli is a healthier option. Is ragi idli actually good for weight loss compared to regular idli?

Honestly it is much better than normal white rice idli because of the fiber. But please track your portion size, even ragi can spike sugar if you eat 4-5 of them at once. I usually eat two ragi idlis with lots of green chutney and it keeps my levels quite stable.
My doctor actually recommended ragi because of its low glycemic index and high calcium content. But she strictly warned me not to mix too much rice flour in the batter while making it. If you keep the ragi-to-urad dal ratio high, it works wonderfully for weight loss and overall health.
It is very good, I have switched to ragi idli and oats for my breakfast now. Along with this, keeping an eye on salt intake and going for regular BP checkups has helped me lose 4 kgs. Just don't put too much salt in the batter.
Ghar pe ragi idli banana bahut aasan hai, no need to buy expensive diet foods from market. Just mix regular ragi flour with your idli batter and steam it. It is cheap, keeps you full till lunchtime, and children also eat it without complaining.
I literally have zero time in the morning, so I make a batch of ragi batter on Sunday night. Quick 10 minutes in the steamer and breakfast is sorted before my 9 AM calls. It definitely helps with weight loss because you avoid ordering greasy food office mein.
Ragi flour is very cheap, around 60-70 rupees a kg, so it fits perfectly in the monthly budget. Spending thousands on fancy keto diets or gym supplements is useless. Combine simple ragi idlis with regular medical checkups to stay on track without breaking the bank.
Maine weight loss ke liye sab kuch try kiya hai, crash diets and what not. Finally, sticking to traditional foods like ragi idli and warm water in the morning worked best. It acts slowly but it is safe for the stomach and gives real energy.

I totally get it, trying to lose weight while craving tasty food is so hard. Ragi idli is actually a lifesaver because it feels like normal comfort food but is very healthy. Don't stress too much, just make this small switch and you will see a difference.
Yes, absolutely. Ragi is a superfood and replacing polished rice with millet is the easiest way to cut carbs. Just ensure you are not loading it up with butter or coconut chutney, otherwise the whole point of weight loss is lost.
Bro, I barely sleep 5 hours because of my shifts and then wake up starving. Ragi idli is great and all, but if I don't sleep, no amount of ragi is going to save my weight. Still, it is better than eating cold pizza at 3 AM so go for it.
