Is prune juice good for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight and my sister told me that prune juice can help. Is prune juice really good for weight loss, or is it just another home remedy that doesn't actually work? I want to know if it's worth adding to my diet.

My grandmother always told us that prunes are excellent for clearing the stomach and maintaining a healthy body. However, my dietician explained that prune juice is actually quite high in calories and sugar, which can hinder weight loss if we drink too much of it. It is best to consult a professional for your specific diet plan.

I tried adding a small glass of prune juice to my morning routine last year. It definitely helped with my digestion and bloating, but it didn't make any difference to my actual weight until I corrected my overall diet. That was just my personal experience with it.

Please be careful with using prune juice for weight loss. I drank it excessively thinking it would detox my system, but it caused severe diarrhea and dehydration, which affected my kidney levels temporarily. Please visit a doctor or clinical nutritionist instead of trying extreme liquid diets.

Absolutely not. Drinking fruit juice is one of the worst things you can do for weight loss because you lose the fiber and end up consuming liquid calories that don't fill you up. If you like prunes, eat them whole in moderation, but ditch the juice.

I am too busy managing my work and kids to keep track of exotic juices, but honestly, prune juice is mostly used as a laxative. If you lose weight from it, it's probably just water weight from rushing to the bathroom constantly. Stick to basic water and save your money!
