Is preparation h safe in pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester and have been dealing with some discomfort. My mother-in-law told me about Preparation H for hemorrhoids, but I'm hesitant to use anything without checking. Is it really safe for pregnant women?

I am so scared of using any external ointments right now. Did anyone else get piles during pregnancy and get prescribed this, or did you use something else?

While you check with your doctor about the cream, also try to do light walking for 20-30 minutes if your doctor allows. It really helps keep the digestion moving and reduces pressure.

Applying a little pure coconut oil can soothe the area naturally. But if there is any bleeding or severe pain, please consult your doctor immediately.

My mother-in-law advised eating small onions and fiber-rich foods to help with the heat. But for applying any medicine like Preparation H, always trust your doctor's word first.

It is generally safe for temporary relief, but some doctors prefer specific local anesthetics or steroid-free creams during pregnancy. Just give your doctor's clinic a quick call to confirm.

With PCOS and a difficult pregnancy journey, I never take risks with self-medicating. Please ask your gynecologist first, as some formulations have different ingredients.
