Is prednisone safe in pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester and dealing with a flare-up of an old condition. My doctor suggested a short course of prednisone. I need to know, is prednisone considered safe during pregnancy?

Honestly, between my toddler crying and the pregnancy backache, my brain is fried. But I remember my doctor saying prednisone isn't something you just pop like candy while pregnant. Check with your OB-GYN before touching any steroid, seriously.

I get so anxious reading about medicine safety online when pregnant, it really scares me! From what I know, low doses can be okay if prescribed by a specialist, but please don't take it on your own. Talk to your doctor to ease your mind.

I am quite new to these medical terms, but is prednisone used for severe allergies? I hope you are feeling okay. Definitely consult your doctor before taking it during pregnancy.

Hey, don't worry too much. Doctors only give prednisone during pregnancy when it's absolutely necessary for the mother's health, and they keep the dose very low. Just book a quick call with your gynecologist to double-check, okay?

Listen, don't stress too much about this. Sometimes our bodies need extra help during pregnancy, and doctors know exactly what is safe. Just drop a text to your doc and ask them directly to clear your doubts!
