Is paxlovid safe in pregnancy?

I recently tested positive for COVID and I'm pregnant. My doctor prescribed Paxlovid, but I'm a bit worried about taking medication during pregnancy. Is Paxlovid considered safe to use during pregnancy?

Yaar, for pregnancy and medicines, you should *never* take advice from online forums, haan. Paxlovid, or any medicine for a pregnant woman, needs a proper doctor's consultation. There are so many factors specific to the patient and the stage of pregnancy. Pls don't guess, just talk to your gynaecologist. They'll know what's safe and what's not.

Dude, for pregnant women and meds, it's serious stuff. My sister-in-law was pregnant during COVID, and her doc was super careful about everything she took. Paxlovid is a strong antiviral. You need to ask a gynecologist, like, immediately. Don't risk it, bro.

I remember panicking about every single medicine and food during my pregnancy! It's so scary when you're responsible for two lives. For something like Paxlovid, which is quite specific, please, please ask your gynaecologist directly. They are the only ones who can tell you if it's safe for YOUR specific situation. Don't worry too much, but act wisely and seek professional medical advice.

Beta, when you are expecting, every decision about medicine must come from the doctor. My generation did not have so many medicines, but now there are many new ones. Paxlovid is a serious medicine. Do not take any risk, speak to your lady doctor immediately. They will guide you best for your and baby's health. Do not worry, but do ask the right person.

When it comes to pregnancy and medicines, you can't compromise, no matter the cost. Paxlovid, like many newer drugs, might have specific guidelines for pregnant women. Don't rely on general info. Even if it means an extra doctor's visit, it's a necessary expense for the mother and baby's health. Get proper advice from a gynaecologist.

I totally understand why you'd ask this; pregnancy comes with so many anxieties about safety, especially with medications. It's truly overwhelming. But for something as important as Paxlovid during pregnancy, it is absolutely crucial to speak with your gynaecologist immediately. They are the only ones who can weigh the risks and benefits for your specific situation. Please don't take any chances or rely on general opinions.
