Is oats for weight gain or loss?

My friend said oats are great for weight loss, but my cousin is eating them to gain weight. I'm a bit confused now. Are oats meant for weight gain or weight loss?

Bhaya, oats dono cheez me kaam aata hai. Agar pet kam karna hai toh bina dhoodh aur bina chini ke khao, dahi ke sath bhi chalega. Aur mota hona hai toh dhoodh me acche se paka ke chini aur kaju badam daal ke khao.

It simply depends on how you cook them. If you boil oats in water with veggies, it helps in weight loss. If you cook them in full-fat milk with sugar, bananas, and dry fruits, it will help you gain weight. Very simple!

Oats are incredibly versatile and depend entirely on your daily calorie deficit or surplus. You can track your portion sizes on an app. For loss, keep it under 40g with water; for gain, go up to 80g with whole milk and peanut butter.

Oats are like a double agent! Cook them boringly in water, you lose weight. Add milk, sugar, and dry fruits to make them taste good, and you gain weight. Unfortunately, the weight loss version is the one that tastes like cardboard.
